  1. Following this is the album's only memorable single, ONE INCH MAN. With its bouncing guitar line and cathcy chorus, this one will stay in your head for days to follow. Although the album maintians Kyuss's rough-edged live song, many of the songs find a fine balance between hardness and softness that keeps the album flowing smoothly/5.

  3. In all probability, the reason why And The Circus Leaves Town remains an overlooked part of Kyuss' discography is probably found in the grey middle-ground between the two above points. Fortunately though, the passage of time gives us fresh opportunity to re-evaluate its artistic merits, which in – twenty years after its release – actually hold up better than some would lead you to believe.
  4. Kyuss' music works best when it's given room to sprawl out and unfold like on the closing "Spaceship Landing," the track on this album that most resembles their work on Welcome to Sky Valley. And the Circus Leaves Town isn't a bad record. It still bears the band's unique stamp. It's just a bit disappointing.6/
  5. Feb 08,  · At the same time, it's perhaps Kyuss's quietest album, turning down the raging sandstorm of sound that characterized "Blues" and (to a lesser extent) "Sky Valley." For the most part, "And The Circus Leaves Town" is the kind of album you could play while kicking back with a beer on your porch and not annoy the neighbors/5(69).

  8. Jul 21,  · referencing And The Circus Leaves Town, LP, Album, RE, R1 I think my copy actually sounds pretty good, its fucking Kyuss, not exactly an audiophiles delight no matter what pressing. Not noisey at all/5(K).
